So, 2020 has been a rough year for a lot of us, and for me it has been exceptionally difficult. Everything has been up and down and constantly changing. Not only had I been dealing with the isolation and lack of social life due to the pandemic, I went through a painful divorce. It left me broken, lacking self confidence and withdrawing from family and friends. All I focused on was going to the gym once it opened up again (my happy place, the once place I could consistently find support and acceptance). I knew I needed more, but I didn’t know what I needed. Then one day, as I was scrolling through my newsfeed on Facebook, I saw a post for a giveaway that Kent Smith Photography was offering, and I entered the drawing (thinking I wouldn’t be selected). I was surprised to learn that I had won a session and almost declined the offer! I am so glad I didn’t!! I have gained more from this single experience than I could ever have imagined!

The staff at Kent Smith were so friendly. I was nervous when I first arrived, however, ease set in almost  immediately. The hair/makeup artist listened to what I liked and my hair and makeup were spot on and I  didn’t feel overly made-up. I felt beautiful. Actually, I felt drop dead gorgeous!

After hair and makeup, the photographer took me to the first set. At first posing felt awkward, but the  photographer’s friendliness and easy instructions had me posing with ease and confidence. It was fun!  We talked, laughed, and had a good time with each and every shot.  

On the day of the big reveal, when I saw my pictures, I was so surprised. The photos are amazing! My  pictures are beautiful, if I do say so myself. I am so happy with them! I feel the pictures look natural, not  an overly made up me or a different version of myself. They are me, looking gorgeous and happy. The  poses captured my personality completely.

This whole experience has been empowering. It gave me major boost in my self -confidence. Ever since I  left that photo shoot, I have felt amazing and confident. I feel sexy. I feel beautiful. I feel strong. There is  something about it that awakens the inner-goddess in a woman. Every woman should be able to have  this experience. It is incredible how much you can gain from an experience such as this. Don’t wait, do it
